About the role:

As Manager in the Enterprise Competency Center, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery for our S4/HANA Finance capabilities. We are currently in transition from SAP ECC ERP system to the SAP S4/HANA system (Greenfield Implementation), and just completed the first phase of the implementation in 2022. It’s crucial for the future deployments we have a dedicated team that can focus on delivering Finance capabilities for S4/HANA including integration points.

In this role you will be a People Manager, with background in SAP FICO, be able to work with Business and IT stakeholders on Roadmap and prioritization. You will be lead and be part of a Global team and with different cultures within the program and team.

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • People leadership, coaching and mentorship
  • Take full responsibility and accountability for the successful planning and execution of the Agile Product Teams functional SAP Finance teams – partnering with the Boston Scientific S4/HANA PMO and overall IT SAP Finance manager
  • Understanding of SAP Finance functionality, primarily focusing Financial Accounting and Controlling, with knowledge of Finance integration with Product Costing and Operations, is a must to be successful in this role
  • Assist in building and sustaining an Agile Product Team to support the delivery of critical business transformation process in SAP ECC and S4/HANA
  • Coordinate build and test activities, including agile delivery and test automation, for the S4/HANA Finance area
  • Tracking/communication/alignment
    • Deliverable Tracking
    • Metrics/scorecards
  • Assist in Program Governance Steering Committee agenda and material preparation
  • Decision and action item tracking
    • Ensure all actions, items agreed are closed on time, in full and on budget
    • Schedule Creation and Management
  • Risk Management
  • Predictable Disruption – ensuring that the program forecasts and minimizes any disruption
  • Managing multiple vendors and complexity across the program in the areas of technology and business transformation
  • Managing the RFP/SOW process working closely with global sourcing and other internal stakeholders

 

 

 

 

 What we’re looking for:

 Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of people leadership and mentoring
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology projects, covering the SAP S/4 FICO area
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and courage to change how we work
  • Proven attitude to learn quickly and improve processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Previous experience of Agile or Scaled Agile methodology, design thinking, and lean rituals will be an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experience or exposure to leading teams in delivery within an Agile Delivery model
  • Leading and coaching teams with 5 or more people is a prerequisite

 

Preferred skills/experience

  • Operational experience in medical device field is a plus
  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA) but would be open to other tools
