Purpose Statement: 

 

The Principal Product Owner, APAC based in India, serves as the APAC Product Lead for leadership-facing experiences within commercial experience, Boston Scientific’s integrated commercial execution platform.The role reports into the Head of Digital Experience, APAC. This team defines and prioritizes product requirements for commercial leaders, including Sales Managers, Business Unit Directors, General Managers, and Regional VPs, ensuring the commercial digital experience is intuitive, insight-rich, and has action-oriented workflows that elevate execution discipline, forecasting accuracy, and leadership decision quality across APAC. 

 

The Principal Product Owner works closely with other cross-functional colleagues, e.g. Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Pricing, Channel Partner Platform Team, Order Fulfilment, Commercial Excellence, Commercial Operations, IT and PMO to integrate the critical workflow signals and data points leaders rely on to assess performance, identify risks, and steer their teams effectively. Acting as the product interface that unifies insights and decision-critical information across these systems, the Principal Product Owner ensures leaders have timely, connected, and context-aware visibility whether on desktop or on the go through mobile. 

 

Aligned closely with the Head of Digital Experience, APAC commercial leaders, SFE, UXUI, analytics teams, and global platform partners, the role shapes leadership journeys, dashboards, coaching experiences, and decision-support workflows. The foundational work delivered in this role will enable the evolution toward AI-driven insights, guided actions, and the right foundation for AI-powered automation, strengthening commercial excellence and performance management across the region. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Own and prioritize the APAC product backlog for leadership-facing commercial experience workflows, ensuring alignment with regional strategic priorities. 
  • Define experience requirements for commercial leaders across APAC, including Sales Managers, BU Directors, General Managers, and Regional VPs, ensuring workflows support their daily rhythms and decision-making needs. 
  • Translate leadership workflow needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and user experience requirements across forecasting, pipeline visibility, performance management, and coaching journeys. 
  • Work closely with Pricing, Channel Partner Platform Team, and Order Fulfilment to integrate cross-platform data points and ensure leaders have a unified, connected view of commercial performance. 
  • Act as the central product interface that unifies insights, workflow signals, and decision-critical information from Data Foundation & Ecosystem, Pricing, Channel Partner Platform Team, and other relevant systems. 
  • Collaborate with UX teams to design and validate intuitive leadership experiences across desktop and mobile, including dashboards, action prompts, and performance views. 
  • Partner with Commercial Excellence, Commercial Operations, Experience Analysts, and SFE to ensure leadership workflows accurately reflect commercial rhythms, KPIs, coaching structures, and execution standards 
  • Lead APAC UAT cycles, workflow validations, and leadership scenario testing to ensure experiences meet market expectations and leadership usage patterns. 
  • Support change management and market readiness by enabling champions, preparing leaders, and driving adoption for new leadership-facing features. 
  • Monitor usage patterns, leadership engagement, and data quality across APAC, and feed insights into ongoing backlog refinement and experience improvements. 
  • Ensure commercial experience leadership experiences adhere to APAC design principles, data standards, and global “to-be” baseline processes. 
  • Drive structured feedback loops with commercial leaders to capture insights, pain points, execution gaps, and unmet needs across APAC markets. 
  • Serve as the APAC interface for capability prioritization discussions, aligning leadership needs with both regional and global platform direction. 
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate friction, and enhance decision-making effectiveness through integrated insights and connected experiences. 
  • Contribute foundational workflow logic, data structures, and experience patterns required for future AI-driven insights, guided actions, and AI-powered automation.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in product ownership, commercial excellence, sales enablement, business systems, or digital workflow platforms in regional or multi-market roles. 
  • Strong understanding of commercial leadership rhythms across APAC, including forecasting, pipeline management, funnel hygiene, performance reviews, account planning, and field coaching. 
  • Proven ability to translate leadership requirements into structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and intuitive digital workflows for dashboards, analytics, and decision support. 
  • Hands-on experience with CRM, commercial execution, or analytics platforms such as Salesforce, Power BI/Tableau and enterprise insights tools. 
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional teams across Commercial Excellence (ComEx), Commercial Operations (ComOps), Finance, SFE, UX, Data/Analytics, and Market Owners. 
  • Experience integrating data and workflows across multiple platforms (e.g., Data Foundation & Ecosystem, Singularity, Channel Partner Platform Team, Order Fulfilment) to create unified leadership views. 
  • Background supporting or deploying APAC-scale digital capabilities, ideally involving multiple markets with diverse commercial maturity levels. 
  • Familiarity with data structures, performance indicators, forecasting logic, and the foundational elements required for AI-driven insights and automation. 
  • Proven ability to lead UAT cycles, scenario testing, and leadership-facing validations across multiple markets. 
  • Strong track record of stakeholder alignment, consensus building, and structured communication with commercial leaders at different levels (Sales Managers through Regional VPs). 
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments, collaborating with PM, UX, and engineering teams on iterative releases. 
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional APAC languages is an advantage.
