About the role:
As part of the Indirect Sourcing organization, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist develops and implements sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage for the Global IT category, while managing critical activities to reduce costs without compromising quality.  The specialist will build and leverage relationships between suppliers and BSC sites, divisions and regional sourcing teams, and partner with IT key stakeholders to achieve organizational and functional goals.
 

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting
• Manage supplier performance, relationships, and continuous improvement programs
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support project timelines, manage cost and achieve company performance goals
• Strategically influence and build relationships with outside suppliers and respective internal leads to deliver optimal outcomes
• Creating and issuing RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to potential suppliers
• Negotiating new agreements in support of key sourcing areas

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• 3 years of experience in Sourcing
• Experience with project management and contract negotiations

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (CPMS, MCIPS or equivalent)
• 3 years of experience in IT Sourcing (i.e. software and services)
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
