About The Role

The role of the Account Manager (AM) is to manage the end-to-end sales process for specific customer segments by identifying commercial opportunities in the region, managing account planning across the customer base and driving the execution of regional and local sales strategies. Purpose of the AM position is to drive business growth, broadening Boston Scientific’s market share, as well as securing product positioning and ensuring market penetration, focusing commercial activity on both clinical and economic stakeholders.

 

This AM position is to join the Nordic Interventional Oncology & Embolization Team within the Peripheral Interventions Division working across Sweden. You will join a diverse team that collaborates closely, all supporting, selling and developing the business in the Nordics. You will report to Regional Sales Manager, Nordics.

 

The product range includes market leading therapies and technologies offering innovative, minimally invasive endovascular procedures. Main clinical stakeholders are interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, radiographers and nurses.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Responsibility for products in the division's Interventional Oncology & Embolization portfolio.
  • Manage customer relationships to optimize sales and identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of procedures, products, clinical practices and requirements.
  • Plan and develop the market for our existing and new upcoming products accordingly with divisional goals and objectives.
  • Understand account’s unmet needs and expectations. Design and execute sales strategies and activities for accounts in scope, accordingly with account plans and in compliance with national and regional targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with economic stakeholders, clinical KOL, promoting Health Economics arguments and engaging decision-makers to discuss commercial programs and solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of an annual strategic plan with detailed business intelligence for accounts in scope (e.g. market size and potential, market / product trends, business opportunities, competitive landscape, updated clinical and economic stakeholders).
  • Based on interactions with KOLs, clinical and economic stakeholders and clinical support, gathers information about next tenders and negotiation opportunities. Plans and prepares tender / proposal based on account situation and understanding. Participates in negotiations, where applicable, and, in collaboration with tenders, prepares administrative documents and input requested by the customer.
  • Maintain accurate territory data and provide timely reports, forecasts and insights.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services, both nationally and occasionally internationally.

 


What are we looking for in you?

  • University degree (or equivalent experience) within Life Sciences, healthcare or another related field.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or other life science sales. Experience selling or supporting procedures in cath labs is advantageous.
  • Fluent in Swedish and advanced professional working proficiency language skills in English.
  • Based in Sweden with proximity to good travel hubs.
  • Experience working in Interventional Radiology or Radiology is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and planning skills.         
  • Strong team player, collaborative, can build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated and can influence others.
  • Willingness to travel within designated territory and occasional international travelling (mostly for training and congresses).
