About the role

The role of the Account Manager (AM) is to manage the end-to-end sales process for specific customer segments by identifying commercial opportunities in the region, managing account planning across the customer base and driving the execution of regional and local sales strategies. Purpose of the AM position is to drive business growth, broadening BSC’s market share, as well as securing product positioning and ensuring market penetration, focusing commercial activity on both clinical and economic stakeholders.


This permanent Account Manager position with geographic location Stockholm/Uppsala region, is part of the Swedish Urology sales team, and will be responsible for selling Boston Scientifics Core Endourology portfolio in Northern Sweden. You will join a team of Account Managers, who are selling and developing business within the speciality of Urology. The Swedish Urology sales team is part of an overall Nordic urology sales and marketing organisation of 15 people, and across divisional organisation with shared Nordic functions located in Helsingborg.

 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively conducting sales visits and identifying new sales opportunities to drive future business growth.
  • Running evaluations of new products and capital equipment in targeted accounts.
  • Contributing to the development of annual operating plans (AOP) by providing the Regional and National Sales managers (RSM, NSM), and Marketing teams with detailed business intelligence for accounts within scope (e.g. market size and potential, market/product trends, business opportunities, competitive landscape, and updated clinical and economic stakeholders).
  • Understanding assigned target accounts’ unmet needs and expectations and continuously developing and executing sales strategies and activities for accounts in scope, aligned with strategic priorities defined in the AOP, as well as regional and national targets.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clinical and economic stakeholders, as well as Key Opinion Leaders, promoting the full product value proposition to all relevant parties and decision makers.
  • Performing clinical selling based on clinical support information, with guidance from the training organisation and RSM.
  • Enhancing customers’ knowledge of the safe and effective use of BSCI products and related procedures by leveraging knowledge obtained during trainings.
  • Taking proactive action at every stage of the tender cycle – before, during, and after the tender.
  • Gathering information about new tenders and business opportunities through interactions with KOLs, clinical, and economic stakeholders.
  • Preparing and collating product-related documents and input requested for tenders within the assigned territory, in collaboration with the Tender Office and RSM.
  • Working with the RSM to develop price strategies for tenders and direct sales deals.
  • Providing regular business updates in country meetings and business reviews, utilising available sales data and reporting content to ensure effective sales process execution.
  • Recording customer information, activities, and key insights in the company’s CRM system, using the system as an alignment tool with other commercial roles and supporting functions.

 

 

What are we looking for in you

  • An Academic degree within Life Sciences or healthcare related subject.  
  • Some professional experience of healthcare, medtech or life science sales is beneficial
  • Prior experience within urology is advantageous, but not required
  • Capability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, can influence others
  • Strong team player, collaborative, builds relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and curious with a continuous learning mindset
  • Strong drive to deliver results and have impact
  • Has perseverance, follows through also when facing obstacles 
  • Can adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Has tech savviness, good computer/system skills   
  • Willing and able to travel extensively for work; on average 4 days in field, whereof 2 days outside Stockholm/Uppsala area, per week on average.
