Purpose Statement

Provide global industry-leading technical support to Boston Scientific (BSC) stakeholders, predominantly internal Customer Care staff to improve processes and implement global and EMEA projects in the tender workstream. Support the EMEA tender manager in the business strategy and take ownership for regional project implementation and be proactive in driving towards sucess.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and document process differences, competences, and opportunities for improvement within each of the EMEA tender teams.
  • Using process and competency assessments, work with the EMEA tender manager to develop, set, and communicate an EMEA tender strategy.
  • Develop recommendations and suggestions to senior leadership on business strategy.
  • Works closely with commercial teams to understand current tender needs and collaborate to support future requirements.
  • Document, evaluate and respond to VIP suggestions from the EMEA Tender team.
  • Work alongside other functional BPL's and leaders to ensure project alignment.
  • Build knowledge to become the expert on tendering processes in EMEA.
  • Lead, support and be proactive in the introduction and integration of new technologies and automation solutions in the tender field.
  • Support the development and eventual implementation of end-to-end revenue management programs.
  • Provide guidance to local tender teams to support successful tendering exercises.
  • Be an active participant in monthly team meetings to review project tracking plans, share information, updates and to provide training support.
  • Develop and improve a continuous improvement culture to aid capacity creation, optimise costs and provide a superior level of customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Engagement of stakeholders to problem solve project implementation issues.

Cultivates a wide range of internal business relationships and begins to develop an external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks. May lead a project team of small to moderate scope. Influence exterted at peer level and occasionally first levels of management.

 

Impact 

Contributes to the completion of departmental projects and goals. Errors in judgement, poor recommendations or failure to achieve results would normally require moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.

 

Liaison

Engages with internal company and external contacts. Represents organisation on specific projects. Uses diplomacy and tact in interactions and problem solving.
