Purpose Statement
Responsible for devising and implementing a comprehensive training strategy to strengthen legacy and new employees in structural heart valve (SHV) that aligns with our business objectives. Primary focus will be identifying training needs, designing relevant tailored programmes and implementing through various training methods, while assessing their impact on employee competencies and performance. Will collaborate with various departments to ensure employees receive the necessary training to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Learning & Development Manager, will develop the entire learning journey and build, deliver and coach SHV commercial learning & development training in EMEA – this involves SHV clinical support with healthcare professional (HCP) education, and commercial management of accounts and opportunities. Collaborate with SHV global training team to support certification progress with training administration, reporting, logistics and materials management. Assess and report training programme effectiveness and maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices to ensure the organisation’s training are aligned with business goals and employee development needs.
Ownership of commercial training strategy in collaboration with EMEA EHQ marketing and commercial teams. Provide high leadership standards through role-modelling and coaching during training and field activities to CSRs, and coaching support to CSR supervisors. Is expected to have or obtain a good knowledge of SHV products and therapy with commercial understanding.

Key Responsibilities & Commercial Development
- Onboard new hires and graduates with foundational training in product, therapy, clinical and commercial competencies
- Identify and assess future and current training needs
- Develop an overall training and development plan using a wide variety of training methods
- Calendar management for programmes
- Deliver face-2-face and virtual training
- Knowledge transfer using divisional LMS
- Application of knowledge through workshop and roleplays to practice within safe environment
- Coordinate certification training with global training team
- Calendar management for programmes
- Monitor and report progress of training and case experience towards certification
- Provide continuous educational development (product, therapy, clinical and commercial) for legacy teams
- Through development of divisional LMS ‘mini modules’
- Workshops and roleplays in divisional and country training activities
- Ownership of divisional commercial training (SHARP)
- Maintain, update and build new commercial training content
- Collaborate with the EMEA EHQ marketing and commercial teams to maintain relevance of content
- Knowledge transfer using divisional LMS
- Application of knowledge through workshop and roleplays to practice within safe environment – scenario development
- Guide field managers / supervisors in clinical selling and account management field coaching of CSRs
- Material content for learning & development:
- Follow instructional design principles and andragogical framework to maintain and update existing material; pre, peri and post training
- Develop product, therapy, clinical and commercial training content based on business updates, market conditions and clinical updates
- Collaborate with the EMEA EHQ marketing and commercial teams to ensure the training content is relevant and competitive content is up to date
- Manage legal and regulatory (L&R) approval for training materials
- Work with EMEA EHQ marketing and medical affairs to deliver clinical selling material for specific clinical topics and papers
- Adoption and champion of new technologies to improve learner outcome

Commercial Teams Development
Support the design, rollout and evolution of CSR competency framework, in line with the business & market evolutions. Selling and marketing training curriculum: ensure the right people attend the right development programs; maximize attendance to the training sessions; ensure that the training curriculum addresses the components of the competencies frameworks; coordinate the division’s contribution to training programs evolution / development; monitor how development programs translate into effective change in the day-to-day behaviour and impact on performance.

Travel
Ability to travel within the EMEA region to deliver trainings and / or to take part in meetings or congresses as required. Majority of class-based training delivered at the IAS Dusseldorf; secondary locations would include regional hub offices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a clinical selling role in medical devices, in an area where clinical support is key for success
- TAVI market experience desirable
- Related work experience in training and / or curriculum design & development advantageous
- Ability to work with various stakeholders globally, in EMEA and countries from marketing, sales, training and R&D
- Must be highly skilled in Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must be a self-starter with a clear focus on curriculum development and deployment
- Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and manage requests coming from a variety of sources
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, high visibility environment
- Ability to portray confidence while presenting to others with excellent presentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- English language a necessity. Additional European language is ideal
