ESG Marketing and Training Manager

 

 

Purpose Statement

 

The ESG Marketing and Training Manager is a key position within the EMEA Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team at Boston Scientific. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to make their mark on the Boston Scientific EMEA ESG strategy. 


Defining and executing innovative marketing and training initiatives to support and embed sustainability within the wider business. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of and passion for ESG, will be purpose-driven and ready to play a pivotal role in inspiring stakeholders across the organisation to strategically embed sustainability best practices, partnering with the commercial organisation to engage customers, and leading pathfinding initiatives. 


You will work in close cooperation with key business partners, including divisional marketing and training managers, EMEA and global ESG leads to guarantee successful execution of the EMEA strategies. This role will be instrumental driving new campaigns, upskilling our team,  and contributing to Boston Scientific’s sustainable future.

 


Key Responsibilities 

 

 

ESG Marketing and Education Strategy Formulation and Implementation: 

 

  • Develop and execute EMEA ESG marketing and training   strategy, in partnership with EMEA ESG communications, BS and divisional stakeholders, according to marketing excellence standards
  • Collaborate with divisional marketers and IMC to co-develop sustainability messaging within franchise marketing communications
  • Partner with wider business to execute tactical plans, prioritisinge commercial opportunities that are strategically relevant to EMEA ESG strategy
  • As ESG marketing and training SME, provide direction and support development of divisional their ESG marketing and training plans and activities
  • Understand and articulate customer requirements; define, develop, and drive VOC (voice of customer) market research as required.
  • Support development and delivery of external engagement activities e.g. expert meetings, advisory boards.]
  • Collaborate with customers to generate content for educational resources.
  • Define KPIs and mMonitor performance of programmes, leveraging appropriate tracking tools and techniques.
  • Support in setting direction for ESG communication and event strategy 
  • Share best practices in sustainable marketing through the EMEA organisation, supporting upskilling of regional and divisional marketing teams

 

Business and industry knowledge: 

 

 

  • Understanding of the key ESG market trends and regulation. Research and stay informed of the latest sustainability trends and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and competitive developments, as well as technical and regulatory market developments, identifying key implications for the business
     

 

Planning and management: 

 

 

  • Continuously review, and provide analysis and recommendations to ensure plans and objectives are maximised
  • Play a role in developing and managing annual ESG marketing and training budget
  • Play a role in developing the annual EMEA ESG strategic and operational plans
  • Collaborate with divisional stakeholders to support definition & development of downstream projects & programmes
  • Manage training and marketing vendors as needed

 


Stakeholder management and Networking: 

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key sustainability partners, key opinion leaders, organisations, and industry groups.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal functional areas to influence and drive EMEA ESG objectives, remove potential barriers, and partner on strategic and tactical activities (Global ESG peers, divisional Marketing, Sales and Education etc) 

 


Quality: 

 

  • Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

 

Knowledge/Skills:

 

 

  • Relevant sustainability marketing experience (ideally in healthcare of B2B space)
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles, practices, and systems
  • Training/education experience a valued attribute
  • Experience in defining and leading strategic direction to bring results.
  • Project management experience
  • Ideally knowledge of relevant business and divisional environment, legislation 
  • and market
  • European or international experience is advantageous.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, a further language is beneficial.
