New Cardio in EMEA is a ~$700m+ business across 3 main franchises: Coronary Therapies, Structural Heart and LAAC. It strives for category leadership in all its markets and drives profitable revenue growth above market.  It continues to invest in new products through R&D and acquisitions to sustain its leadership, capture growth and take market share. North cluster is geographically diverse and includes UK, Ireland, France, Belgium and Nordics.

Finance Business Partner plays a critical role supporting development and execution of business strategy and delivery of AOP commitment. Business has grown considerably in the last 2 years, has tremendous potential and is expected to grow above the market.

 

Purpose Statement

Act as primary finance business partner to the Senior Management team of the North Cluster region to drive performance and deliver business results.

Collaborate with the Franchises & Functions to help manage and grow the business. Understand customer needs. Meet Customer Needs. Be pro-active. Highlight risks & opportunities. Suggest ways to grow the business and reduce cost. Avoid surprises. Advise & Influence. Provide financial advice. Influence decision making. Solve problems. Be an expert in finance and accounting for my customers and co-workers. Lead or participate in projects that further the goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand what drives the business. Collaborate with commercial organization to deliver business results. Look for the growth opportunities across the region and value drivers across the P&L. Challenge the status quo.
  • Prepare and drive regional Quarterly Business Review.
  • Lead annual budgeting & quarterly forecast process for the region. Support stat plan as required
  • Responsible for leading compliance with quarterly budgeting calendar & guidelines, and monthly & quarterly close.
  • Advise Regional BUD and Country management teams in resource allocation decisions to optimize the performance.
  • Monitor and measure business performance to ensure NC maximizes opportunities to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide guidance and drives accountability to ensure performance targets are achieved.
  • Assist regional FP&A in the execution of region wide or Corporate wide FP&A related initiatives. 
  • Represent the Region in various regional and Corporate task forces, as required.
  • Establish, maintain and/or leverage as appropriate information systems to support the FP&A process.  Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity and analysis, increase efficiencies, manage costs and maintain state of the art practices.
  • Act as a key business partner in critical and sensitive activities such as Restructuring Plan and Value Improvement Processes.
  • Drives compliance in all finance related matters (GIA, SOX, Statutory, Monthly Closing). 

 

Candidate profile

  • Advanced degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Track record of business partnering and working closely with senior leaders.
  • Able to build proactive and collaborative relationships with the business leaders and others to provide ongoing strategic direction.
  • Able to use business knowledge to influence strategy and challenge business partners.
  • Develops high performing teams by establishing and sustaining a culture of development, coaching and performance feedback throughout the organisation.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and work with tight deadlines and on their own.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on Strategic Long-Term workstreams.
  • Fluent English. Working knowledge of French would be an advantage
  • System skills: Tableau, SAP, Hyperion, MS
