Role Purpose:

 

Core objective of this role is to support the Divisional Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the Division they represent.  Ideally the successful candidate will have worked in a tender driven cardiology or relevant commercial environment and have strong clinical and technical knowledge and ability. This role reports to Regional Sales Manager and is part of the UKI Cardio team responsible for selling and clinical support for Boston Scientifics PCI and CxPCI portfolios.

 

Role Territory: South Wales, Bristol, Swindon, Cheltenham and Worcester

 

Key Repsonsibitlities:

 

  • Develop further as professional sales rep by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques.  Able to tackle a variety of issues, general knowledge in medical device industry (BSC and competitors).
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under general supervision of the Manager.
  • With limited instructions of Manager, plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc).
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers directly in the cathlabs
  • Cultivate wide range of business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
  • Upon request may lead a project team of moderate scope.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Experience of working within the MedTech/Medical Device Industry - Cardiology setting is preferred
  • Consultative selling, negotiation skills and technical support capabilities.
  • Long term relationship management experience
  • Team working -  internal and external collaboration, managing expectations and delivering customer centric value.
  • Analytical and business acumen to build profitable and sustainable commercial offers across the portfolio.
  • Clinical and technical therapy area knowledge to support portfolio cases.
  • Experience of working in a Hospital/Cathlab setting, a nice to have
  • Have the capacity to travel around the territory
  • Be based in or close proximity of the territory
