About the Role:

The Business Controls Junior is accountable for managing controls within their area of expertise, focusing on understanding current requirements, collaborating on improvements with business stakeholders and consultants, ensuring alignment with key control departments, and formalizing change to establish a robust new control environment.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

The Business Controls Senior will be fully integrated into all facets of the Magellan program lifecycle, actively participating in the implementation and support of Outbound and Manufacturing product workstreams. Regular interactions with non-Magellan stakeholders are also expected. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Collaborate with Magellan controls teams, workstreams, audit teams, and business stakeholders to establish and maintain proper controls, ensuring ongoing governance.
  • Attend key meetings within the designated areas of responsibility (Outbound, Manufacturing) to ensure discussions and decisions align with control requirements.
  • Instill a controls mindset throughout the organization and reinforce it at every opportunity.
  • Review and contribute to the risk assessment, leveraging it to ensure comprehensive discussions throughout the Magellan project.
  • Facilitate risk and controls sign-off discussions with product workstream stakeholders.
  • Develop control deliverables, including control and related procedures (automated, semi-automated, and manual).
  • Formalize and audit-proof documentation for key decisions and controls.
  • Co-design and execute appropriate training sessions before the GRC-PC rollout.
  • Ensure effective project communication related to areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance of new controls environment with current (or to be updated) BSC policies.

 

 

Cross-responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new controls in the SAP GRC instance.
  • Assist in testing and resolving issues related to controls within the assigned scope.
  • Provide support to other Magellan workstreams as needed on controls topics (Master Data, SOD, regional questions on Magellan, etc.).

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

Core skills required for this role include business process, risk, audit/controls, and SAP security understanding, particularly in Segregation of Duties. Specific qualifications include:

  • Degree: Management Information Systems Controls or Accounting.
  • Hands-on experience working in internal and/or external audit in assessing the design and effectiveness of operational and financial controls or enterprise risk management.
  • Strong functional and technical understanding of SAP S/4 HANA suite of applications, GRC Access Control and GRC Process Controls.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and build working relationships across the organization.
  • Experience with Segregation of duty controls or mitigation controls for risk conflicts is a plus.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
