About the role:

A data engineer is a strategic role responsible for enabling business transformation by aligning strategic

objectives and tactical demands. High level activities include, but not limited to: designing, building and managing the information or big data infrastructure. Develops the architecture that helps analyze and process data int eh way the organization needs it. Ensures those systems are performing smoothly.

This role will be a key partner to enable data to stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Participate in data modeling and testing
• Extracts relevant data to solve analytical problems, ensure development teams have the required data.
• Interacts with the business divisions to understand all data requirements to develop business insights and translates them to data structures and data model requirements.
• Works closely with database teams on topics related to data requirements
• Work under general direction and establish business relationships
• Partner with stakeholders to document and communicate values generated from the new capabilities and processes
• Guide technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes
• Works directly with Product Managers and customers to deliver data products in a collaborative and agile environment.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
• 5+ years in business and/or system analysis, design and development
• Experience with data modeling and journey mapping
• Experience facilitating, leading, or being a part of multi-disciplined, high-performance teams
• Strong written and verbal skills including proficiency in tailoring communications depending on stakeholder.
• Working knowledge of current technology trends across the industry.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry.

• Strong SQL skills preferred
• Working knowledge of Snowflake, ETL, DBT and data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Possesses a strong working knowledge of business area practices and workflow
• Ability to visualize growth and build high-level models for future analysis
• Ability to  achieve set goals to get desired result
