About the role:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, new product integration projects, and will provide support to the production floor to ensure that product, processes, material, and equipment meet the (Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost) business goals and objectives. This individual will be required to routinely partner with cross-functional and cross-site teams (Production, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Process Development, Supply Chain, etc.) to evaluate, troubleshoot and implement manufacturing processes within the business unit.
Your responsibilities Include:
- Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure success.
- Consistently generates innovative and unique solutions to meet goals.
- Successfully completes complex engineering work and contributes on technology development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, process change assessment, and process improvements.
- Uses process improvement techniques to solve complex problems and makes robust equipment and process recommendations.
- Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results.
- Designs and prepares complex reports and communicates results to the technical community.
- Designs and coordinates complex engineering tests and experiments.
- Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, processes, or equipment.
- Leads and/or contributes to development of Business Unit’s multi-year strategy.
- Capable of training team members, including engineers and technicians.
- Participates in the development of junior staff by setting an example, providing guidance, and offering counsel.
- Demonstrates primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
What we're looking for:
- Degree in Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Biomedical, Chemistry, Electrical.
- 5+ years of manufacturing, process or related engineering experience in medical device or highly regulated industry.
- Experience solving advanced technical problems.
- Experience in complex process qualification.
- Direct or indirect people leadership experience and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong bias for action and ability to effectively prioritize work and deliver business results.
- Understanding of manufacturing problem solving and process improvement tools such as DMAIC.
- English Level desired: 85-89%.
- Technical Competencies: Problem Solving, Regulatory industry management, Regulatory Affair, Process Validations, Process Transfer, Mini Tab.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with labeling, packaging, boxing, and/or applicable technologies, processes, regulations to sterile barrier in medical devices, is a plus.
