About the role

Under moderate supervision/guidance, plans, manages, and directs the creation/revision of product literature and labeling. Works closely with project teams to ensure labeling content is developed per, and compliant to, all applicable procedures. Develops schedules and ensures labeling deliverables are executed to them while maintaining a high standard of quality. Is the resident expert and primary point of contact for all things related to product literature and labeling.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Expanded knowledge of labeling and product literature concepts (labeling components, labeling creation/review processes, standards/regulations, eLabeling).
  • Demonstrated ability to research data, compile and analyze information, report results, and exercise judgment based on objective evidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate through the different systems, industry practices and standards of a Medical Devices company. Expanded understanding of the regulations that govern the Medical Devices industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform structured work assignments, solve routine or standard problems by using existing policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Receives basic supervision and direction from more senior level roles/manager.
  • Performs Change Notice activities for the review, approval and release of labeling components and documentation.
  • Works cooperatively with various Boston Scientific departments, divisions, and suppliers, to ensure an improved, practical, and consistent approach to labeling.
  • Coordinates translations for labeling components using translation vendors.
  • Communicates with outside vendors regarding artwork and proofing.
  • Performs troubleshooting on new problems as related to design or process.
  • As applicable, provides work direction to specialists and other employees on labeling processes.
  • Serves as a resource in the orientation and training of new engineers and employees.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits idea records.
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Licentiate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Design, Chemical/Materials, Mechanical) or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Packaging and/or Labeling Engineering is desired.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Devices Industry is desired.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Desire English level B2 or above
