About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a system administrator whose primary responsibility is to manage a McAfee ePO solution.  This role offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated security professional to be involved in improving the security posture of Boston Scientific’s medical systems and devices.


The candidate must have a combination of strong communication and technical skills in order to manage and support the functional and technical aspects of a product cybersecurity program and work collaboratively with a team of internal staff and consultants to execute its components.  The successful candidate will work alongside a team of analysts and IT/R&D engineers and architects supporting pre and post market cybersecurity activities.  The ideal candidate will have an IT security background managing the McAfee product suite and be looking to utilize those skills on medical devices.  This candidate may also be called upon to interact with the IoT management suite to perform tasks as needed.

This role is part of the Cybersecurity and Device Management team residing within the Global Research and Development organization, reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Global Product Cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Engage in overall management of the McAfee ePO environment, including monitoring patches and updates, conducting upgrades, and monitoring product lifecycles.
  • Perform operational activities on McAfee product suite and ePO environment.
  • Engage in security policy design with business partners.
  • Provide reports and recommend reports to leadership and business partners.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on client firewall, antivirus, drive encryption, and application whitelisting to business partners.
  • Continuously grow your skills through education, training, conferences, or other means.
  • Work independently to identify and close knowledge gaps.
  • Perform routine work on Mobile Device Management or IoT suite as needed
  • Engage and contribute to team discussions to ensure all voices and perspectives are included.
  • Assist in identifying test steps and cases for product teams.
  • Mindset of ownership and continuous improvement –drive positive change on the team through proactive work.

What we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience IT security  Engineers
  • 5+ years Information Technology experience
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of basic IT security concepts
  • Experience with McAfee product suite or comparable products
  • English level over 90%
