About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced IT Application Manager 1 to support the development & implementation of software solutions as part of the Device Build Product Team supporting the Manufacturing & Operations environment
This individual will be part of the Global Information Technology department working with our internal IT partners, technical architects, platform teams & external Boston Scientific business partners to optimize the management, architecture & performance of our IT enterprise application.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead the execution of complex enterprise application programs within the Manufacturing / Operations area, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Training & labelling solutions
- Lead a team of technical staff to drive business value, growth & operational efficiencies through continuous improvement
- Manage projects, ensuring successful execution of ongoing & future initiatives aligned with strategic goals & objectives
- Assist in the creation, development & maintenance of application roadmaps aligned with the company's long-term strategies
- Provide leadership in the development of annual strategies & submissions for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, cross-functional & technical teams to provide advice & information & to serve as an advocate to promote the benefits of the systems & platforms
- Influence product team leaders at both technical & business levels to ensure alignment with enterprise application strategies
- Work with technical teams to build and enhance enterprise applications, platforms & accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and standards
- Partner with product managers to enhance & deliver new programs
- Facilitate communication to address challenges & keep initiatives on track
- Define success metrics & KPIs, track progress, resolve roadblocks & ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Present updates to leadership on outcomes & insights.
- Collaborate with senior leadership & stakeholders to define priorities, resolve conflicts, and ensure programs meet short & long-term business goals
- Management of budgets & people, provide mentorship & coaching to staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Experience of leading / executing complex enterprise application programs ideally in the Manufacturing / Operations area, but not necessary & similarly experience of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus, but not essential – really manager or PM experience managing IT enterprise applications or technology programs (minimum 5 years)
- Good knowledge of the application development lifecycle – requirements gathering, testing, data migration, software development, deployment, and monitoring
- Experience managing & working with technical & business teams
- Scrum / agile software development methodologies experience is a plus, but not essential, similarly software validation techniques
- Advance English Level
