About the role

This role operates within the company’s Global Business Services organization to provide high quality accountancy expertise and services to various client businesses within Boston Scientific Corporation. Oversees the performance of complex duties such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, performing the monthly financial close and consolidation for multiple entities.  Measures performance against key performance indicators and metrics, and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the month-end close process and acts as liaison with supported sites.
  • Assures financial accuracy by preparing business unit and consolidated income statements and balance sheets and other accounting statements and reports. Supports all legal entity closings
  • Establishes and communicates accounting processes by maintaining a good understanding of GAAP and new accounting guidance as appropriate.
  • Work closely with global team in order to deliver the range of Accounting services required.
  • Drives continuous improvement and process standardization across multiple legal entities.
  • Works to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners.
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

 

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • English Level +95%.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation.
  • Experience working in shared service environment preferred.
  • Strong integrity.
  • Respects others.
  • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and organization skills.
  • Open to working across global time zones.
  • SAP and/or S4 Experience a plus.
