About the role:

 

Develops packaging, products, materials, processes, or equipment for projects of moderate complexity. Under limited supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified packaging, products, processes, or materials.

Responsible for the coordination and creation of the packaging and labeling artwork as well as the supporting functions for review and approval of artwork and content. Works to assure all labeling is correct and follows applicable regulatory, quality, and business requirements.

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Fully participates and successfully contributes to project teams through the completion of packaging and labeling tasks.
  • Works independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines.
  • Works cooperatively with various BSC departments, divisions, and suppliers, to ensure an improved, practical, and consistent approach to packaging.
  • Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments for existing product/packaging design improvements and, as applicable, new product/packaging development.
  • Completes packaging tests and experiments for existing product/packaging design improvements and, as applicable, new product/packaging development.
  • Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from test results.
  • Generates and reviews packaging-related documentation, including specifications, test plans, reports, and other documents.
  • Demonstrates Sustaining knowledge through completion of high-quality deliverables. May apply Exploratory, TDP and PDP methodologies.
  • Performs troubleshooting on new problems as related to design, material, or process.
  • As applicable, provides work direction to technicians and other employees on packaging processes or test procedures.
  • Serves as a resource in the orientation and training of new engineers and employees.
  • May lead a project team of small to moderate scope through the definition of goals and objectives, project planning, execution of activities, and project follow-up.
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and advances in medical device packaging.
  • Coordinates and creates labeling data and selects labeling format using the Global Labeling System.
  • Coordinates and creates packaging components and labeling content for Sustaining in accordance with regulatory, quality, and business requirements. As applicable, coordinates and creates packaging components and labeling content for new product/packaging development.Coordinates translations for packaging and labeling components using translation vendors.
  • Performs Change Notice activities for the review, approval and release of packaging/labeling components and documentation.
  • Creates and enhances packaging components based on pre existing formats and design.
  • Communicates with outside vendors regarding packaging artwork and proofing.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits idea records.

 

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Maintenance) or related field.
  • Statistical knowledge
  • 2+ years of experience in the Functional Area
  • Advance English Level (B2+ and above)

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Experience in Medical Industry, Packaging
