About the Role:

Responsible for effectively planning, directing, executing and coordinating all activities of the Packaging and labeling department with all other departments and functions to support the productive function of the facility. Responsible for the administration of the Packaging engineers’ team.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Work in conjunction with other managers to establish priorities and execution plans to assign resources and time to execute key initiatives procuring continuous improvement and sustaining of the productive function.
• Direct the packaging engineering staff, to provide direction, resources and training for the adequate development of the engineering function. Look for the development of his personnel in charge and it facilitates an environment of respect, responsibility and teamwork.
• Prioritize and manages the execution of multiples projects in the area. Organize interdisciplinary jobs of identification and solution of improvement opportunities in production and packaging engineering.
• Facilitate and lead VIP projects, Kaizen and Six Sigma. Maintain and improve the inter-departmental relationships.
• Ensure the support to the Costa Rica Plants initiatives.
• Establish and control the budget of the area. Participate in the revision of business results.
• Facilitate and co-lead the processes of product/product transfers and equipment.
• Ensures proper packaging and labeling documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements.
• Support process development regarding the packaging and labeling activities associated to the PDP project.
• May serve as a core or extended team member of the Packaging Council
• May implement corporate packaging and labeling initiatives correlated with regulation or improvement changes in the Costa Rica Facilities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Licentiate degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical Industrial Maintenance Business Administration or related.
• At least 7 years of experience in similar position.
• English Level: 90-94%.
• Desired knowledge: Problem Solving Methodologies, Regulatory industry management, Tools (Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaizen, Six Sigma), Packaging and labeling activities.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
