About the role:

 

This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Interprets detailed schematics from R&D engineering staff to fabricate functional boards in digital, analog, and RF domains, and provides design feedback to the engineering staff.
  • Utilizes design tools such as SolidWorks and PCB design software (OrCAD, Altium) to develop mechanical fixtures and electronics for engineering evaluation, V&V testing, and production testing.
  • Supports prototype device builds for characterization studies and V&V testing.
  • Explores and proposes creative solutions based on solid rationales and contributes to design and process concepts.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and executes building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
  • Assists project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
  • Uses internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
  • Acts as a resource to other employees.
  • Communicates project status to project teams.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma (mandatory).
  • Technical degree in Electromechanics, Electricity, Mechanics, Precision Mechanics, or 50% progress in university studies in related fields.
  • At least 7 years of experience in similar positions.
  • English level: Intermediate (60%)
  • Availability to work in Administrative Shift (Monday to Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays from 7:00 AM to 2:45 PM)

 

 

Desirable Technical Knowledge:

 

  • Experience with operating Automated Test Systems for testing and characterization.
  • Data and statistical analysis
  • Experience with soldering and assembling PCBAs as well as cables
  • Troubleshooting electronic equipment and devices to identify and resolve issues
  • Knowledge of basic measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzers, etc.
