About the role:

We are seeking a talented, tech savvy, creative, and detail-oriented individual who wants to use their marketing skills and event planning experience to support corporate meetings and events.  This role will create dynamic event websites and registration portals using Cvent, our meeting and event technology.  Previous experience in web building or with other creation software such as SharePoint, Canva, Adobe, Eventbrite, Eventzilla, etc. is preferred.

 

In this role, you will work with clients to fully understand their meeting and provide consultative build services such as event registration websites, mobile apps and surveys that exceed expectations.  

 

As a meetings & events website builder you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand event objectives, themes, and requirements. 
  • Ensure online registration websites meet the specific needs of each event, are clear, concise, and easy to navigate.
  • Utilize branded web templates or copy past event sites.
  • Identify and manage timelines and deliverable deadlines to ensure launch dates are achievable.
  •  Create and publish reports and work with your teammates and stakeholders to make sure every detail has been covered.
  • Proof, edit and cross-check site builds.
  • Create and send clear communications.
  • Develop and distribute event communications, including invitations, confirmation, and reminders.
  • Provide timely responses to stakeholder inquiries and request for information.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in: Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • English Level desired: Excellent English verbal, writing and editing skills.
  • Experience:

Experience in hospitality industry or past meeting and event planning experience required.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in event or meeting planning in a corporate setting.

Proven track record in client interactions.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Desired knowledge:

Experience with Cvent meeting planning software preferred.

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong problem solving capabilities.
