About the role:

Leads initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).

You’re responsibilities include:

  • May execute the following resposibilities:
  • Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
  • Consistently generates innovative and unique solutions to meet department goals.
  • Successfully completes complex engineering work and contributes to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: technology development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, Six Sigma, process study, process improvements, and report preparation.
  • Selects process improvement techniques to solve complex problems and make sound equipment and process recommendations.
  • Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results.
  • Designs and prepares complex reports and communicates results to the technical community.
  • Designs and coordinates complex engineering tests and experiments.
  • Coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.
  • Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment.
  • Completes and manages complex Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERA’s).
  • Leads cross-functional project teams.
  • Lead and oversee packaging and labeling operations within manufacturing lines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging processes, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Utilize expertise in GLS (Global Labeling Systems) to manage and implement labeling procedures across production lines.
  • Lead the resolution of complex issues related to packaging and labeling, employing strong problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Mentor and lead a team of packaging specialists, providing guidance and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive decision-making processes by providing expert insight and influencing key stakeholders on packaging strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, maintaining a focus on quality and sustainability throughout the packaging lifecycle.
  • Effectively leads groups to solve BU problems.
  • Works as a mentor within functional area to assist with project related questions and concerns

What We’re looking for:

  • Require Bachelors or  Licentiate degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Biomedical, Chemistry, Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mantenance.
  • English Level desired: 80-89%.
  • Desired knowledge:Transfer Process, MiniTab, Hands& Statistics, Validation Process, Tools (Statistics, Technical Manuals, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar position.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in packaging and labeling processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of GLS (Global Labeling Systems) and their application in production settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Courage to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions that drive efficiency and quality.
  • Soft skills such as effective communication, adaptability, and the ability to build relationships across various departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making processes and lead initiatives to improve packaging and labeling operations.
  • Exhibits solid understanding of BSC products and processes and the interactive affect those have on other functions.
  • Wide application of technical principles, practices and procedures.
  • Recognized across functions as an emerging technical leader within the BU and interfaces with BU leadership on important matters requiring the coordination of activity across the BU team
  • Identifies problems and issues related to assigned area within BU and facilitates their timely resolution.
