About the role:

 

Health systems across the world are evolving and decision-makers are increasingly looking for evidence of value to support reimbursement and therapy adoption. We are seeking a Market access professional to join our dynamic Vietnam team and lead reimbursement and market access strategies for key products across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Work with ASEAN Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Manager as well as Country Business Leaders to identify key access priorities and strategies. Partner with the regional HEMA teams to adapt health economics tools to facilitate therapy adoption and market creation.
  • Lead the development and execution of market access strategies to support, streamline, and create reimbursement opportunities for key technologies in Vietnam. Coordinate and lead the cross-functional team in the implementation of access strategies as required.  
  • Build relationships with government, physicians, hospital, and third-party payer decision makers. Collaborate with physicians, key opinion leaders, and key decision makers on reimbursement and access activities
  • Be an advisor to the Vietnamese and ASEAN business leaders on implications of potential reimbursement or legislative changes that affect adoption or coverage.
  • Analyze the economics of Vietnamese healthcare system and competitive landscape to propose solutions for maximizing value for company and other key stakeholders in national and centralized tenders.
  • Manage the quota negotiation and price bidding process in national and centralized tenders.
  • Identify and develop value-based procurement solutions for economic customers.
  • Support stakeholder discussions with appropriate HEMA presentations, tools and case studies.

Qualification and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have experience in market access in Vietnam. The candidate should demonstrate a history of successfully managing relationship with key stakeholders, managing tenders, and facilitating reimbursement.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the Vietnam’s pharmaceutical or medical device industry, ideally with at least 1 year in market access position.
  • Formal training in pharmacy, medical, public health, health services research, policy analysis, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Vietnamese healthcare systems including expertise in health care financing, reimbursement policies related to the industry, and technology assessment. 
  • Ability to interpret and integrate business strategies into actionable, value-added reimbursement and access initiatives.
  • Strong communications skills and experience developing interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision.

 

This position is on local employment contract only.
