Role Overview
As part of the Vietnam Leadership team, the Sales Supervisor is responsible for driving sales performance, market development, and team capability for the nationwide MedSurg (Endoscopy and Urology) business. This role ensures alignment with divisional goals, maintains industry and product expertise, and fosters strong customer relationships to achieve revenue targets. This role requires close collaboration with various functions in the country to deliver the country's business objectives. This position, reports to Head of Country, also plays the role of people manager, engaging and motivating the team to continuously build and improve processes to achieve the broad operational goals and critical KPI’s.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & Market Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies in collaboration with the Head of Country.
- Prepare quarterly sales forecasts, assess market potential, and manage sales expense estimates.
- Identify gaps in sales forecasts and implement corrective strategies to drive aggressive growth.
- Recommend and analyze expansion opportunities in new field territories.
- Integrate territory plans and account profiles into a cohesive regional strategy.
Customer Engagement & Revenue Generation
- Conduct regular, planned visits to existing and potential customers to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Support customers in the correct usage of Boston Scientific products.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent the company and expand market presence.
Industry & Competitive Intelligence
- Continuously update self and team on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments.
- Gather intelligence from physicians, suppliers, and other stakeholders to refine regional strategies.
- Monitor competitor sales tactics and prepare the team to respond effectively.
- Share insights with the marketing team to inform broader strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide ongoing tools and education to team members to ensure high performance and product knowledge.
- Coach and mentor team members using a disciplined selling model.
- Demonstrate strong selling skills in customer interactions, modeling best practices without taking over the sales process.
- Share personal selling experiences to motivate and teach applicable skills.
Sales Operations & Compliance
- Ensure accurate implementation of customer records, key contacts, reports, and company policies.
- Plan and control regional expenses to meet sales objectives within budget.
- Conduct quarterly sales reviews with the team and adjust strategies based on country-level requirements.
- Collaborate across functions and divisions to support team initiatives and communication.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Act as a key interface between Clients and Customer Service to address complaints and ensure resolution.
- Facilitate field corrective actions as needed and uphold high standards of quality in all interactions.
- Promote quality awareness across the organization and support customer-focused initiatives.
- Ensure all promotional materials and product advertisements are approved prior to distribution (LAR).
- Coordinate with HR to ensure completion of mandatory training and quality obligations.
Clinical & Product Expertise
- Maintain proficiency in interpreting clinical studies and data; serve as a knowledgeable discussion partner to physicians.
- Demonstrate the ability to sell the full product portfolio and differentiate offerings from competitors.
