Analyst I, Demand Planning
Purpose Statement
The role of Demand Planning Analyst, Hong Kong, serves as conduit between Operations and the Business Units in coordinating the Hong Kong Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process, performing demand planning, product launch and exit plans, driving inventory optimisation initiatives, and managing supply execution as required to meet customer needs and financial business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Hong Kong iteration of the global Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process, aligning efforts across cross-functional teams, and within the BSC Quality framework, in support of strategic and financial goals.
- Effectively partner with Business Units and other key functional stakeholders to understand strategic imperatives in support of commercial ambitions and supply execution.
- Proactively analyse inventory, sales and scrap data to provide recommendations to Business Units, enabling improvement in working capital, inventory reserves and inventory charges.
- Prepare and maintain monthly demand plans, including consignment inventory requirements, strategic stock planning, new product introductions and end-of-life phases, in the RapidResponse supply chain planning system.
- Set and review inventory policy to support segmented service level targets across your portfolio and in consideration of financial KPIs.
- Represent Hong Kong in APAC and Global Supply Chain forums, and in system and process improvement projects.
- Lead cross-functional Value Improvement (VI) projects to drive consistent improvement in service and financial outcomes.
- Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years' experience in a demand planning / forecasting role, with exposure to leading an IBP process.
- Solid understanding of Supply Chain planning and inventory management, including statistical forecasting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience managing large data sets essential.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently and collaboratively with teams across geographies.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and high-quality output.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment.
