About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to support our growing Cardiac Rhythm & Diagnostic Services (CRMDx) business.  Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual will be responsible for performance of transaction-based accounting and financial operations which may include accounts payable, intercompany receivables/payables, record keeping and general accounting activities.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software (Dynamics 365) and other programs (Readsoft)
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
  • Performing reconciliation of accounting data.
  • Preparing weekly check runs
  • Processing 3-way purchase orders
  • Preparing journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis for month close
  • Reconciling vendor statements, researching and correct discrepancies and responding to all vendor inquiries
  • Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy
  • 1099 maintenance
  • Reporting and remitting monthly sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
  • Assisting in other areas of Finance as assigned by supervisor
  • Performing special projects as required.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year with Associates in Arts degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
  • Accounting/Finance degree or a combination of education/work
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Self-motivated and willingness to work in fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills; accuracy and timeliness are essential

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Dynamics 365 experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills (financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint)
