About the role:
We are seeking motivated developers responsible for designing and building web-based, service-oriented applications in the Health Care industry. Your primary responsibilities will be to architect, design, document, develop, and unit test these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, enterprise level design, and quality product is essential.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Architect and design solutions
  • Develop internet applications using the Microsoft .NET framework and C#
  • Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design and development of back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services
  • Deliver quality code and fixes, on time, with rigorous testing
  • Document design, tasks, bugs
  • Build automated unit tests with a TDD approach
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide technical and project leadership to other staff members

 

 

Required qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Software development experience in some of the following areas:
    • C# Microsoft development using .NET
    • Backend development using SQL and Stored Procedures
    • Web Service development, Rest APIs and JSON
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Familiarity with SCM tools such as GIT and Agile SDLC tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Software development experience in some of the following areas:
    • MVC, web service interfaces and middle-tier components
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular, or ASP.NET is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Pipelines
  • Experience with healthcare IT and/or software preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in agile, small-team environments
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously when necessary
  • Must be eager to work with other dedicated programmers in different geographic locations
