Business Development Specialist - Endobariatrics - Turkey
Purpose Statement
Responsible for increasing the number of patients treated with, and/or the market share of, franchise products across the assigned territory. The role focuses on building and leveraging relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital administration, and medical societies, while developing and implementing education and training programs for physicians and hospital staff covering patient identification, referral, implant, and follow-up procedures. Accountable for achieving sales growth and supporting therapy adoption across medical sectors. May also include responsibility for the Distributor market.
Key Responsibilities
- Market & Business Awareness

- Maintain awareness of industry, competition, healthcare, and economic trends.
- Adjust franchise business plans to reflect market conditions.
- Business Development & Sales Strategy

- Identify new business opportunities and accounts via relationships with KOLs and academic/research institutions.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the number of patients treated and increase market share.
- Present economic benefits of growing patient numbers to hospital executives and decision-makers.
- Manage contract designs and negotiations across all products and solutions in the territory.
- Education & Clinical Support

- Train physicians and hospital staff on patient identification, referral, implant, follow-up, and ongoing monitoring.
- Ensure increasing patient treatment and clinical success through educational initiatives.
- Attend and participate in customer, company, and industry forums or courses.
- Collaboration & Team Support

- Work closely with sales teams to maintain relationships with economic buyers in key accounts.
- Educate local sales teams to take over projects after successful implementation.
- Collaborate with HEMA and HS&P to remove barriers and implement tools (e.g., patient identification systems).
- Quality & Compliance

- Serve as an interface between customers and the sales organization to address complaints and issues.
- Guide the local leadership team to ensure compliance with Boston Scientific Quality System and local quality requirements.
