BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER – PI, GATE
Work in line with corporate, regional and/or country sales strategies to plan, schedule and execute sales tactics in securing BSC product positioning, market penetration, training, and forecasting against market and sales plans preferably in the area of Peripheral Interventions. Managing PI business in GATE (Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkiye , Pakistan) region mainly working through Channel Partners as well as management of direct business at Turkiye. Reference marketing intelligence and research to properly strategize with sales team to capture and broaden BSC's market share. Aid the achievement of customer satisfaction and business growth and development through focused business planning and people management. The position will be based in Istanbul, Turkiye.
Key Responsibilities;
- Industry Knowledge: Maintains knowledge of the industry and the competition continually seeking information from physicians, suppliers, and others to challenge, modify and prioritize regional strategies; Maintains awareness of industry trends and their impact on local/regional sales activities.
- Business Management: Monitors region sales performance on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective actions, preparing reports, summaries, analysis and documentation on all aspects of region management.Develops and executes sales strategies and activities in conjunction with the Regional Director & Divisional Leader; Plans and controls expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget. Prepares quarterly regional reviews, sales forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential and Annual Operating Plan.
- Sales Execution: Regularly travels out with each team member to ensure divisional strategies are fully implemented; Conducts quarterly sales reviews with team and manager, adjusts strategies in accordance with Regional requirements motivates others and teaches applicable skills; Strong selling skills in front of the customer with others present and without taking over the sales process. Continually seeking information from physicians, suppliers, and others to challenge, modify and prioritize regional strategies while ensuring effective territory management and account targeting along with sales managers. Creating a compete "bundle" of product and value-add services and Defining negotiation parameters for economically constrained customer situations.
- Clinical Excellence: Maintains the skills and knowledge to sell the entire product line to all applicable buying influences and can differentiates each product line against the competitor's products in front of the customer.
- Building and Maintaining Relationships: Maintains contact with major accounts and key relationships seeking to leverage profitable business ventures; Assist key customers in the creation, maintenance, expansion and startup of divisionally related educational courses and forums; Attend and participate in customer, company and industry sponsored forums and courses. managing and working through Channel partners & Distributors.
Management Requirements;
- Leading a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
- Strong People Management with at least 5 years experience in Leading Team and P&L management
- Experience in Matrix organization with managing both Sales and Marketing Functions

- Works on issues of large and diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires expert knowledge of area of expertise and in-depth understanding of organizational objectives. - Creates mid- to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management. Develops and calculates a budget for a department or group to meet organizational goals; forecasts future departmental needs including human and material resources and capital expenditures; recommends or modifies the structure of organizational units or a centralized functional activity subject to senior management approval.
What are we looking for in you;
- Successfully completed degree level studies within a relevant scientific or business-related subject are beneficial.
- Industry experience working in a similar strategic sales and team management position within the clinical/medical device area.
- Strong business acumen with experience delivering sales strategies, direct sales and marketing, product lifecycles, P&L, competition and market trend analysis.
- Team management experience including direct reports and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong internal and external communication skills.
- English language skills, both written and verbal, at a professional working proficiency level, or above.
- Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
- Strong team player, collaborative, and can build relationships and work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated and can influence others.
- Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
- Willing and can travel extensively as required by workload.
