Principal Clinical Sales Representative, NC
Purpose Statement:
Our Modern PCI portfolio consists of Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), Rotational Atherectomy (ROTA), and Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) Therapies. Modern PCI portfolio is a very significant sub-group of products and therapies that constitute Boston Scientific`s Interventional Cardiology Franchise. Besides, LAAC is a pioneer therapy for structural heart franchise. This role secures safe and successful outcomes for BSC therapies and Modern PCI & LAAC products by advising the clinical and sales team for Modern PCI & LAAC products and Interventional Cardiology therapies. A team player able to promote Modern PCI & LAAC therapies and proactively maintain skills and knowledge. A product expert able to protect the long-term value of the therapy by expanding to new Accounts and geographies, defending the price and ensuring the safe usage through practical support and training in and outside of the procedure. Works closely with the Coronary Therapies Franchise Lead, New Cardio Account Managers along with relevant Commercial and Marketing teams in the region of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Education & Case Support:
- Demonstrates a deep understanding and knowledge of the products and therapies in their responsibility, including troubleshooting
- Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers directly during a procedure in the cath lab.
- Provides Cath lab Inventory Management (Consignment, missing stock, rotating and expiring stock management), including complaints management, follow-ups on general Cath lab requests, and provides feedback to Account Manager as appropriate.
- Capable of building strong and trusted business relationships with Hospital Staff and supporting them before, during, and after the cases. Always operates based on Boston Scientific’s ethics and SOPs.
- Provides day-to-day field clinical (technical) support, education support, Account management, coordination, and collection of training needs.
- Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel, and staff on (not limited to) Modern PCI & LAAC Products by coordinating training sessions, Hands-on training, in-service education programs, seminars, and/or outside symposiums.
Commercial and Marketing Contributions
- Gathers and account planning with relevant stakeholders detailed business intelligence for accounts of responsibility (e.g., market size and potential, market/product trends, business opportunities, competitive landscape, Market Segmentation, product launch, account targeting, updated clinical and economic stakeholders) with aligned sales and division’s strategy.
- Validates nominations based on central guidelines for new therapy account selection and ensures business case protects the price and value of New Therapy.
- Works closely with the commercial team to identify areas where the New Therapy can be leveraged to drive core business growth.
- Builds and executes the agreed-upon plan by identifying the referring network to increase patient flow and support the commercial team with KOL management activities.
- Provides and completes tender applications (technical and clinical) in line with the local sales team.
- Provides Cath lab Inventory Management (Consignment, missing stock, rotating and expiring stock management), including complaints management, follow-ups on general Cath lab requests, and provides feedback to Account Manager as appropriate.
- Records customer information and activities in a given database (SalesCloud etc.)
- Attends and actively participates in customer, company, and industry-sponsored events and meetings
- Embraces remote support technologies
Skills & Background Requirements (must-have)
- Undergraduate degree required
- Clinical sales skills, solutions-oriented thinking, and proactive behavior
- Able to work in a matrix environment, independently and in a team
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus
- Clean driving license category B
- Ability to travel extensively (60-80%)
