Strategic Account Manager - Turkey & Central Asia

The purpose of the Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships team is to help establish Boston Scientific as a leading healthcare Solutions provider. This is achieved by engaging in long-term partnerships with customers, providing them with products, services and solutions which are differentiated and tailored to their needs.

Reporting to the Regional Leader and Healthcare Solutions and Partnerships Leader, the core objectives of this role are to develop long-lasting relationships with strategic accounts, architect the best possible solution to fulfil Customer’s needs, in the context of a deal or project.  The Strategic Account Manager aggregates components, collaborating with the Global Solutions Franchise organisations, all Divisions within Boston Scientific, support functions and external partners, to create an offering that will deliver the customer’s expected outcomes as part of a contract.

The role will work with all key Regional Commercial team members as well as Healthcare Solutions and Partnership stakeholders. As part of the pre-sales mission, the Strategic Account Manager will own the Solution’s content that is intended to be proposed to Client. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Core member of select Healthcare Partnership customer account teams
  • Participate as needed in the commercial process for potential engagement opportunities as a Solutions expert;
  • Integrate all engagement components that are required to obtain the best possible solution for fulfilling the client’s expectations and desired outcomes
  • Establish a project charter and plan for each engagement component with clearly stated and agreed upon goals & objectives. Determine the appropriate project teams, including both customer, 3rd party and Boston Scientific personnel.
  • plan and execute implementation of projects and service programs for Healthcare Solutions customers.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally, to ensure the project proceeds according to the plan. Making adjustments to the plan as necessary, aligned with the project's goals & objectives, ensuring that the end result meets the expectations of the Customer and Boston Scientific.
  • Manage project delivery at multiple customer locations in collaboration with internal resources and external vendors.
  • Track and report on key metrics to Region , aligned with overall goals & objectives.  Ensure that gains and savings are accurately tracked for both the customer and Boston Scientific
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues within team and with contacts across divisions, functions and geographies ; is an active ambassador of Solutions and Cross-Divisional approach


Quality System Requirements

  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in Healthcare and ideally in Solutions Architecture (Background in System Integration, Complex Project Management, Strategic Account Management. etc.)
  • Is completely familiar with outcomes selling and delivering
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and analytical skills to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
  • Is a real team player, knows how to organise talents around him/her
  • Proven ability to work and influence across a matrix environment. Strong communicator internally and externally, builds networks, and partners with peers.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Clear thinker, strong problem solving skills, comfortable in challenging existing practices and the status quo.
  • Rigorous, strong execution mind-set, structured and organized
  • Change oriented, able to operate in an area of uncertainty and with changing/limited resources.
  • Proven experience of successfully working within cross border or virtual teams.
  • Relevant Bachelor degree or MSc ( preferred) in a technical or clinical subject
  • Fluent in relevant local language.
  • Very Good level of written and spoken English.
  • Willing and able to travel within Turkey and sometimes in countries within the GEM region.
