Senior People Partner, APAC

About the role:  

Support execution of Human Capital Strategy via application of HR initiatives, tools and processes within client group(s). Partner with client groups’ people leaders to deliver human capital solutions aligned with department/function performance goals and business strategy.

Your responsibilities will Include: 

People Services

  • Responsible for providing HR guidance/consultation to client group(s) in most of the following areas: competency development, talent management, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
  • Coaches and consults with people leaders on performance management, development, team morale, employee relations and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.
  • Provide guidance and direction to people leaders to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of all employees. Provide consultation to people leaders to ensure the consistent application of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and cultivates internal relationships with key stakeholders such as HR Centers of Excellence (CoE), HR Business Partners and/or broader HR Operations team to drive consistencies and execute initiatives to support the business.
  • Present, train and/or facilitate workforce development programs as relevant.  Support communication on and utilization of performance management tools & processes and compensation & rewards programs.
  • Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with people leaders to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization.
  • Conduct and manage investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice.

 

 

Country/Site HR (Indonesia & Philippines)

 

  • Partner with HRBP in implementing solutions related to culture and talent
  • Share feedback on regional/global policies to ensure local needs and legislative requirements are met
  • Partner with CoEs to leverage existing programs/practices to solve for emerging business needs and reduce siloed/customized local solutions wherever possible
  • Share country feedback with HRBPs as appropriate to enable solutioning (e.g. non-compete regulations)
  • Focus on harmonization and standardization of HR approaches/processes; implement and champion global HR solutions
  • Support legislation and employment changes as required by law
  • Coordinate with Payroll team to ensure timely monthly payroll submission to external payroll vendor
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the local Labor Bureau/Ministry, ensuring timely communication and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage labor inspections and facilitate the submission of required employment documentation as needed.
  • Maintain and ensure location specific Handbook/Policies as required by law is kept up-to-date and in compliance with the local law
  • Where applicable, fronts audits for areas covering HR related topics.

 

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist work experience in an MNC environment; at least 10 years of total work experience in HR. Experience with company culture initiatives, employee benefits, and HR-related tax matters is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in both the English and Bahasa Indonesia required; additional proficiency in Tagalog will be highly advantageous but not mandatory
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, medical device and/or healthcare related industries will be highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian employment legislation
  • Trustworthy and reliable with high level of integrity; able to keep confidence and engage the right people at the right time
  • Effective communication skills that balance business and employee needs
  • Resilient and Adaptable. Comfortable working with ambiguity, open-minded and possess agility to adapt and refine approaches to thrive in an evolving environment
  • Strong drive for results. Is hands-on with strong follow up skills; possess a healthy sense of urgency
  • Technologically savvy; possesses strong technological skills in Microsoft Office applications and technology/portals commonly used in HR
