About the role:

 

Manage kanbans, process receipts & shipments, interact with production personnel, to ensure inventory integrity as well as trouble shoot production SAP transactional issues as needed. Interact with purchasing, quality inspection and outside suppliers. Expedite and track shipments from suppliers. Create and/or update daily, weekly monthly and quarterly reports.Duties also include being a support to  the  Logistics and Transportation area. Interact with Traffic, Inspection, Engineers, Production, and Purchasing to avoid floor shortages, material problems or hot parts. Maintain vendor kanbans. Support warehouse activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible of to process receipts & shipments; putaway and storage of components and supplies; expedite any in transit shipments.
  • Conduct scheduled and nonscheduled inventory counts to ensure availability of product.
  • Coordinate the cycle count process and inventory reconciliation with each areas material specialist, based on SAP output. This include both schedule and non- scheduled and consignment counts. Review cycle count reporting with the appropriate MFG area. Investigate documentation issues as needed.
  • Prepare and publish weekly, monthly reports on inventory levels as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.
  • Work with Pilot Locations to ensure SAP accuracy.
  • Manage the EE&O process as it relates to transaction and disposal of this material.
  • Manage the disposition of expired raw material and support the process of revision changes with in the plant.
  • Manage and dispose hazardous waste materials on corresponding hazarous waste areas as needed. Clean tools, equipment and components per documented procedures.
  • Examines shipment containers at the time of receiving for any damage, and verifies the accuracy of information listed on the packing slips, invoices, and freight bills by opening the packages and visually inspecting the contents .Execute the SAP transactions or any required transaction at the point of receipt.
  • Transports material (e.g., production and non-production materials) upon request, using a forklift, pallet jack, or truck to the designated location.
  • Receives out-going shipments from internal customers and packages items using the appropriate materials (e.g., cardboard boxes and packaging tape) to properly prepare items for shipment.
  • Records shipment information using the carrier service's systems and methods (e.g., Federal Express, UPS) for shipping traceability.
  • Support warehouse improvement activities.
  • May be asked additonal responsabilties by the supervisor.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
