IT Business Analyst, Korea and Taiwan

[Position Summary]

IT Business Analyst (Korea & Taiwan) is responsible for bridging the gap between local business teams and IT by capturing requirements, evaluating existing systems, and recommending appropriate technology solutions. The role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that enterprise applications and digital platforms effectively meet the evolving needs of the (Korea & Taiwan) businesses while maintaining compliance with IT governance and architectural standards. Working closely with the Area IT Lead, application/service delivery lead, global IT team, and the regional Digital Tech and Strategy team, this role helps ensure local alignment with global/regional platforms and identifies opportunities for local customizations or enhancements where necessary.

 

[Key Responsibilities]

 

1. Business Requirements & Solution Alignment

  • Engage with Korea & Taiwan commercial and functional stakeholders to capture business needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications that can be used by development or application teams

  • Validate proposed solutions with business users to ensure alignment with desired outcomes

 

2. Application Portfolio & Gap Analysis

  • Maintain an overview of the local application portfolio, including usage, fit, lifecycle status, and alignment to business processes

  • Identify gaps in current systems and propose regional/global solutions where applicable

  • Recommend local solutions or customizations when needed, ensuring integration with enterprise platforms

 

3. Collaboration & Solution Delivery

  • Liaise with the Global IT and regional Digital Tech & Strategy and Data & AI teams to support implementation of global/regional systems

  • Work with Application and Service Delivery Lead to track progress of solution rollouts and ensure successful adoption in Korea & Taiwan

  • Participate in buy vs build assessments and manage vendor deliverables as needed

  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during hypercare; measure adoption and stabilize post go live

  • Provide clear status, decisions, and impacts to stakeholders; facilitate workshops across business and technical teams

  • Work with development teams using modern SDLC practices (e.g., CI/CD) to ensure timely, high quality releases

  • Track plans, risks, and delivery metrics; coordinate cross functional contributors and manage small workstreams

  • Create end user materials and maintain system/process documentation

 

4. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all IT requests and changes are aligned with BSC’s global or regional governance frameworks, including demand management, data privacy and cybersecurity

  • Contribute to documentation of business processes, application requirements, and system usage

 

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Collect feedback from users and stakeholders post-implementation to inform future enhancements or system upgrades

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, user training materials, and system documentation in collaboration with other IT teams

  • Identify process and usability improvements; drive automation and standardization where feasible

 

6. On-going Support

  • Support and maintain local applications

  • Triage incidents, coordinate fixes and minor enhancements, and maintain configuration for local apps

 

[Required Qualifications]

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in commercial, supply chain, or healthcare IT environments

  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, solution evaluation, and stakeholder engagement

  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, or supply chain platforms.

  • Strong documentation skills and experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent

  • Understanding of IT governance, risk management, and data privacy principles

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work across business and technical teams

  • Tools: Jira/Confluence (or similar), Excel/Visio/diagramming; familiarity with data & AI platforms is a plus. Amazon Cloud Service or related system, Oracle or MS-SQL or related DBMS system, Eclipse / IntelliJ / Visual Studio related system
