ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Legal & Compliance Specialist is to provide compliance advice and support to the business. The role also entails providing day-to-day legal support to our Korean business, in collaboration with the broader Asia Pacific Legal & Compliance team and outside counsel. You will be required to liaise with multiple stakeholders including sales and marketing teams, the Korea leadership team, the APAC legal and compliance team and external stakeholders. 

WHAT WILL YOU BE REPONSIBLE FOR? 

• Provide legal advice and support on business operations and growth initiatives
• Provide compliance guidance on business initiatives, analyses alternatives and solutions to the business 
• Be the legal and compliance subject matter expert for the business to enable business growth in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, compliance policies and industry code of practice
• Partner with relevant stakeholders to implement the Korea legal and compliance program and address the local specific risks of Korea
• Support the Global Compliance and Audit teams in conducting audits for Korea
• Work with Global and APAC Compliance regarding compliance management and initiatives
• Other projects and tasks as required

KEY COMPETENICES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS

Functional Expertise

• Legal background with compliance experience in the medical device or healthcare industry in Korea
• 5-8Y PQE
• Stays up to date in area of expertise and demonstrates use of that knowledge to successfully achieve goals and objective

Language

• Working proficiency in both Korean and English
