Global Business Services 
The Global Business Services (GBS) team is a function established within Boston Scientific, designed to improve the efficiency of key business processes by taking opportunities to drive standardization, leverage resources, knowledge and skills and monitor the effectiveness of service delivery against benchmarks and service level agreements. About the role:
Performs a variety of complex duties in general accounting such as analyzing accounts, preparing external and internal reporting, working with the team on performing the monthly financial close activities using interfaces with SAP, Hyperion, Cadency, actively coordinating on internal and external audits and support SOX management testing procedures. Measures performance against key performance indicators, and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes. This role supports AtR activities for EMEA Center of Operations (Boston Scientific International BV).

Your responsibilities include:  

• Oversee financial and accounting process and work closely together with finance and GBS teams, with a high focus on controls.
• Perform various duties and tasks related to AtR activities, including support the team with month end closing activities.
• Support internal, external audits and audit-related accounting matters.
• Perform SOX management testing and support SOX reporting and remediation plans.
• Perform internal quality checks on manual journals and reconciliations and provide recommendations on potential improvements related to these checks/testing performed.
• Optimize current financial accounting process in coordination with stakeholders.
• Comply with KPI’s and OPIs as defined by GBS.
• Drive compliance in all finance-related matters and ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements, and GAAP principles. 
• Apply LEAN methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
• Participate in implementing quality requirements in all aspects of the financial process.
• Identify and implement process improvement and standardization.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal demands, ethical standards, and the Internal Quality Management System.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor Financial accounting or Business Economics
• 2+ years relevant experience
• Experience with SOX environment and external audit are a plus
• SAP experience, Hyperion and Cadency experience are a plus
• Fluent in English, additional language capabilities are a plus 
• Strong verbal & written communication skills and focus on building relationships 
• Self-motivated yet team player and takes ownership in all responsibilities
• Change agent that focuses on a high level of quality 
• Continuous Improvement and analytical mindset
