About the role:
The Team lead is operational responsible for the Dispatch group. Together with this team, the Team lead ensures a smooth flow of work processes every day in which he/she actively cooperates (~60% of the work time) and is scheduled as such. The Team lead is fully trained and participates in all Dispatch activities. Next to that the Team lead maintains oversight of planning, projects and open actions related to Dispatch and reports progress into management. 
In addition, he/she is responsible for an optimal working atmosphere and safety, and if training is needed, he/she will take appropriate action. The Team lead actively checks, constructively appeals to people, and knows how to motivate employees to perform well. He/she is involved, likes to arrange and make things happen.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring compliance with work instructions and work processes.
  • Optimal deployment of people based on own knowledge and real-time work offer during the shift.
  • Continuous improvement of the workplace and -processes in consultation with the Manager.
  • Where appropriate, co-conducting PDC conversations in close coordination with Manager and providing him/her with input on employee performance.
  • Communicate warehouse EOD performance to upper management.
  • Emergency response officer and Emergency response lead during the assigned shift.
  • Establishing a well-balanced workload across all outbound departments by setting the correct pace with releasing deliveries into the outbound process.
  • Understand the cohesion of the subdepartments within Operations and act on it.

 

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Completed MBO-3 training preferably in the direction of Logistics or demonstrable work and thinking level.
  • At least 3 years of recent work experience, gained in a warehouse/distribution center or other logistics work environments.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with SAP, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Being able to lead small improvement projects using the BSCI lean essential tools.
  • Available for shift structure (6.00 am – 11.00 pm).
  • Good communication skills, spoken and written, in Dutch and English.
  • Good social and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Zero mistake mentality.
  • A high level of responsibility.
  • Be comfortable to instruct people if needed.

 

Working hours:
Working hours from 6:00 – 23:00 in rotating shifts.
