About the role:

Delivers strategic and business decision support towards the Global Customer Service transformation program, spanning our 5 regions, as well as to the EMEA Supply Chain organization. Acts as a key business partner to the Vice President Global Customer Service and EMEA Supply Chain. Provides support to the Finance organizations in Global Operations and EMEA in establishing and maintaining a robust control environment and internal and external financial reporting. Provides functional leadership and directions to the Finance staff.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Implements and drives process improvements.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams addressing alternate business practices.
  • Identify key financial issues; report, interpret and translate them into terms meaningful to business partners and functional managers.
  • Anticipates financial needs of business partners; proactively develops financial solutions to those requirements.
  • Recruit, retain and develop finance staff.
  • General Accounting: Oversees financial and accounting processes to ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/Standards and ethical standards with unyielding integrity; Serves as the primary contact with independent auditors and audit-related accounting matters; Oversees month, quarterly and year end close process to ensure timely close and financial reports preparation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepares financial reports meeting Corporate and Regional financial reporting requirements on a timely basis; Analyzes, interprets and reports operating results to management and makes specific recommendations to achieve cost effectiveness and profit improvements; Provides cost center reporting and analyses; Anticipates management needs and develop analyses in response to those needs and in support of management decisions.
  • Taxation: Liaises with Corporate Tax on transfer pricing issues; Liaises with Ernst & Young (external) to ensure audit compliance.
  • Controls: Implements accounting policies, procedures and internal controls in support with business processes and decisions; Ensures all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards and the internal Quality Management System.
  • Balance Sheet and Assets Management: Works with Financial Shared Services personnel to achieve effective balance sheet and assets management; Participates in development and carrying-out of inventory control procedures, including physical stock-take, audit and control of regional warehouses.
  • Compliance: Drives compliance in all finance related matters (GIA, SOX, Statutory, monthly Closing); Participates in implementing Quality requirements in all aspects of the Finance Process.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Master degree in Financial Accounting and/or Controlling (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 10 year experience in finance leadership position in complex international business environment
  • Proven functional track record in both financial accounting as well as financial controlling
  • Preferable experience in working as respected Finance partner for large scale international Supply Chain/Distribution functions
  • Successfully operated in a complex matrix organization, managing various stakeholder relationships and achieving results through others
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism and the ability to establish credibility across the organization
  • Strong people management skills, focused on helping teams and individuals to grow and reach their full potential
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution and decision making
  • Fluent in English
