Within the Human Resources department at our European Center of Operations we now have the following job opportunity: HR Business Partner.
This job will be based in Kerkrade, the Netherlands. 

Job Purpose:
As HR Business Partner you are responsible to support in the execution of Human Capital Strategy by applying HR initiatives, tools and processes within the different (EMEA) departments. You partner up with the department managers to deliver human capital solutions which are aligned with department / function performance goals and business strategy. You will solve complex organizational challenges with people-related solutions, and act as a thought leader. You'll be excited about trying new things, thinking outside the box, and offering a creative yet efficient approach related to Human Capital.


Your day to day activities include: 
Provide HR guidance/support and direction to department managers to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment off all employees in most of the following areas: competency development, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement. You will coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps. Consult with managers to ensure the consistent application and adherence to company policies and procedures.


Besides, you will partner with HR Centers of Excellence to address and satisfy client group needs. You will apply knowledge of key drivers in making decisions related to Human Capital.
You will also be presenting, training and / or facilitating workforce development programs. Support communication on and utilization of performance management tools and processes and compensation and rewards programs. 

Furthermore you will introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with department managers in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization. You will conduct and manage investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice.


The HR Business Partner reports to the HR Director. 

Experience and skills:

  • You hold a Master or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equal education
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant HR Business partner experience in an international business environment
  • You have demonstrated business acumen and organization agility
  • You  are passionate about talent and organizational development
  • You have a ‘can do’ attitude and can balance strategic contribution with hands on execution
  • You can cope with multiple demands and can manage effectively (international) stakeholders
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch
