About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Distribution & Logistics Solution Architect to support and lead supply chain, warehouse, and logistics technology initiatives within the EMEA Distribution and Logistics Product Team. This role serves as the primary owner for designing, configuring, testing, and sustaining technology solutions that support regional warehouse operations. Core applications include SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA, integrations with third-party logistics providers, automation equipment, and carrier systems.

This role partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing logistics solutions aligned to business strategy.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with internal and external project teams to deliver timely, high-quality logistics and warehouse technology solutions.

  • Lead and support multiple project activities simultaneously across cross-functional and global teams.

  • Collaborate closely with SAP cross-module teams to ensure end-to-end process integration.

  • Design, configure, test, document, and implement SAP EWM processes, including putaway, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and physical inventory.

  • Serve as a key regional owner for rollout and implementation of new warehouse and logistics functionality.

  • Lead project workstream activities, including planning, execution, and change enablement.

  • Adhere to project plans, deliverables, and timelines while identifying dependencies and resource requirements.

  • Communicate project status, manage risks, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Translate business requirements into technical and process improvement recommendations.

  • Maintain strong collaboration with SAP S/4HANA and other integrated platform teams.

 

Management responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively across functions and divisions to support organizational objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience supporting or architecting solutions in distribution, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain applications, with SAP EWM experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 full life-cycle implementations in SAP EWM, decentralized or embedded.

  • Strong configuration and implementation experience in SAP EWM and LE.

  • Demonstrated expertise in goods receipt, inspection, deconsolidation, physical inventory, replenishment, wave processing, picking, packing, shipping, material staging, exception handling, POSC, LOSC, WOCR, cross-docking, kitting, MFS, and VAS.

  • Experience with internal warehouse processing and EWM integration with other systems, including MFS.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP–EWM integration, queue management, and third-party system integration.

  • Hands-on experience with RF configuration, setup, and customized solution design.

  • Experience with custom development related to EWM business processes.

  • Strong knowledge of the EWM warehouse activity monitor and related customization.

  • Experience integrating EWM with other applications and modules, including PP, MM, Ariba, SD, XPS, GTS, TM, and 3PL providers.

  • Strong understanding of RF framework, ITS Mobile, PPF, EWM monitor, EGF, and EWM technical flows.

  • Ability to design end-to-end, cross-functional processes and partner effectively with developers to deliver technical solutions.

  • Experience with intercompany and interplant STO and shipment processes in SAP.

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle and delivery methodologies.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented work ethic.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with XPS on ECC or SAP S/4HANA, or integrated with EWM.

  • Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry.
