Purpose:

 

Boston Scientific is growing, and so is our Logistics Center in Kerkrade. Our Engineering Team plays a key role in preparing and executing process changes and improvements, that are needed to support the global growth and elevate the service to our patients and customers. Activities include updating warehouse processes, revising and creating work instructions, reviewing pFMEAs, problem solving and ensuring proper qualification and validation of impacted equipment and software.

 

As Industrial Engineer II / Manufacturing Engineer II, you will work closely with Core Team Engineers and report to the Supervisor Industrial Engineering.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support Core Team Engineers with engineering activities related to process changes.
  • Perform general engineering tasks, which may include updating standards, conducting time studies, documenting processes, and creating/approving change requests.
  • Problem solving on current processes
  • Apply good working knowledge and application of pFMEA’s, validation and qualification requirements.
  • Active engagement in go-live activities
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the site.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality, improve Service, and reduce Cost.
  • Actively engage in delivering local training

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in engineering roles.
  • Strong sense of ownership: you take responsibility and drive initiatives forward.
  • Pro-active mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem solving
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills across all levels.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Supply chain experience (preferably in warehouse environment) is a must
  • Experience working in the medical devices industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA is a plus.

 

This position is for a period of 12 months and you will work onsite at our European Distribution Center in Kerkrade- The Netherlands
