THE ASSIGNMENT: 

The Finance Intern helps provide strategic analysis and business support to the European Customer Service & Capital Equipment organizations to help achieve metrics and financial/VIP targets through management metrics, financial reporting/analysis, tracking of Value Improvement Projects, preparing operating plans and financial models.

Capital Equipment and Customer Care Finance team reports to Global Finance director with 3 reporting manager lines. The position will report to EMEA SME of Capital Equipment team.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

  • Assist with the quarterly forecasting and the annual operating plan
  • Assist in reporting monthly and quarterly results, track key indicators through balanced scorecards, comment and appraise performance; recommend and drive corrective action plans.
  • Compile and analyze each Month financial information through preparation of reports.
  • Constantly appraise business performance and check that existing plans are well geared towards driving strong profitable growth.
  • Challenge and recommend changes to plans where appropriate helps division remain on target
  • Actively participate in Finance team meetings.
  • Key participant in FP&A process, including the preparation of Finance reporting.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Focused in an analysis/ accounting role in a commercial environment. (70% analytics-30% accounting)
  • Ability to take initiative & initiate change
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player, proactive, hands-on approach
  • Languages: Fluency in English essential
  • Excellent PC skits Proficiency in Excel is mandatory, Tableau and SAP an advantage
  • Capability to work at a high level of detail, but able to see the bigger picture.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work to tight deadlines
