About the role:

On a daily basis, our Inbound team handles materials arriving from Manufacturing Sites and other DCs. Here we receive, sort, and allocate the materials to various storage locations, ensuring products are readily available for downstream processes.

 

As a Logistics Engineer / Industrial Engineer, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to offer daily assistance to the team, striving to meet production targets in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost-effectiveness. In this role, next to sustaining activities, you are responsible, for driving improvements and optimization of the processes within the Inbound department. You will collaborate in cross functional teams to analyze and solve problems, ensuring efficient and effective Supply Chain Processes.

 

Joining our enthusiastic Engineering Team consisting of 14 members, you will report to the Supervisor Core Team Engineering. In the upcoming period, our team will be working on multiple challenging projects to support the growing business e.g., the implementation of S4Hana and the extension of our Warehouse and Office facilities.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support Operations in daily issue handling.
  • Identify and lead value improvement, waste elimination and problem solution projects that drive performance improvements.
  • Drive facility layout and design projects to optimize material flow and efficiency.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and drive lean projects and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Perform general engineering tasks, which may include updating standards, conducting time studies, documenting processes, and creating and approving change requests.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge and application of PFMEA’s and validation requirements.
  • Handle Non-conformance Events (NCEP’s) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA’s).
  • Mentoring of interns.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Business Studies)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as an Engineer, preferably in a distribution or supply chain environment
  • Proven Experience in process improvements and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Energetic team player with result driven mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills
  • Ability to collaborating with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Supply chain experience is an advantage
  • Experience in the field of medical devices is an advantage
  • SAP experience is an advantage
