About the role:
This Finance Business analyst is a key role within the Global Capital Equipment Technical Services (CETS) Finance organization and provides technical support for the financial systems, reporting solution and continuous improvement initiatives.  The selected candidate will ensure continuity, consistency and accuracy of all our financial reporting & financial data and will be a key contact & partner with our IT teams and will be pulled in technical discussions as our finance systems and reporting Subject Matter Expert (SME).  

Your responsibilities include:

• Review of current state and Identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our global financial systems and processes.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert on financial systems/centralized reporting, ensuring we have current processes and process flows well documented.
• Drive Lean Business Process initiatives across our close, budgeting & forecasting processes.
• Participate in special strategic projects as they arise, partnering to improve current processes and evolve and transform our financial consolidation and reporting processes.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting of deployed processes.
• Partner with our Financial Analysts to collect, analyze and develop new and improved processes.
• Provide administrative support to the team in relation to report access.
• Performing research and analysis as required by the finance leadership.
• Maintain existing reports, including evolving documentation, data flow, etc. to BSC polices on capital thresholds and audit requirements.
• Drive continued improvements in various finance reporting processes leveraging new technologies such as Tableau / Power BI.
• Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

What we’re looking for in you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or business administration is preferred
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English (main working language)
• Strong customer focus, good collaboration and team working skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Solid ability to translate user needs into technical terms / solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced level skills with Reporting Tools (Tableau, Business Object, MS Power tools including Power Query, Power Pivot & Power BI etc.)
• Familiarity with corporate collaboration and cloud-based tools (i.e. Office 365, Success Factors, Salesforce.com etc.) is considered a plus
• Basic understanding of Finance Reporting Systems (Oracle Hyperion) or SAP is considered a plus
