About the role:
Manage Inbound, Putaway, Replenishment and Expediting department to ensure accurate and efficient processing of the required work according to applicable procedures and timelines. Besides being responsible for the daily operations, you will be representing Operations in our Kerkrade expansion project (Expansion of the existing warehouse with new warehouse incl. offices of our Kerkrade facility and Automation, relayout)

 
Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage, lead and coach warehouse associates through supervisors and team leaders to establish a team of motivated employees.
  • Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with quality function as necessary.
  • Manage the departmental budget.
  • Implement and execute the Boston Scientific Lean Essentials.
  • Constantly works toward streamlining Logistics processes to eliminate non-value added activities. Drives progressive systems and process initiatives to enhance and improve performance.
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement, teamwork and commitment to doing things right.
  • Development and communicate department goals in order to achieve effective core metric performance.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with the manufacturing / distribution / logistics network and 3 PL’S to ensure optimal communication and process execution.
  • Promote, monitor and ensure a safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies.
  • Facilitate and manage cross department communications and initiatives.
  • Ensure integrity of data systems (i.e. Kronos, SAP etc).
  • Make strategy and planning to accommodate future growth.
  • Investigation of customer complaints and mitigate through root cause analysis.
  • Member to the operations management team and reporting to the Sr Distribution Director EMEA.
     

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or other relevant studies.
  • Advantage is to have experience in supply chain activities within the MedTech sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or distribution.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Able to work process-based and very structured.
  • Innovative, independent thinker and energetic.
  • English language is a must.
