We now have the vacancy in our operations team: Operations Supervisor
Department will be determined finally after the selection process.
About the role:
This role is pivotal in fostering a high-performance team environment that emphasizes accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with our Quality System and company policies, while driving operational excellence on the manufacturing floor. You will provide daily direction to your team, support and coach your team and effectively supervises processes and the efficiency of the operational department.
Your responsibilities include:
- Establish a team of motivated members, winning spirit.
- Facilitate and partner with a cross-functional production team (including production, quality, and manufacturing engineering) to achieve annual safety, quality, service, and cost goals while maintaining a high-engagement, high-performance culture.
- Customer centric mindset, evaluate priorities and act on it.
- Identify customer requirements to deliver the right products at the right time.
- Lead the Core Team in setting priorities, decision making, driving improvements and cost savings (VIP’s)
- Responsible for safety, health, quality and ergonomics of the department
- Manage, motivate and develop employees through coaching and performance management in weekly and monthly performance conversations
- Ensure all employees within your department are trained according to procedures
- Ensure all employees are involved and contribute in CI, PS and 5S program
- Responsible for the overall production capacity for daily operational activities.
- Foster teamwork and enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the entire cross-functional team.
- Achieve and exceed product cost goals.
- Provide accurate measurements, reports and timely metrics to MT.
- Coordinate information concerning recup/sickness/holidays and communicate to HR.
- Act as the subject matter expert during internal and external audits.
- Execute local strategy in accordance with budget.
- Overall responsible for departmental time registration.
Experience and skills:
- Education level: HBO or relevant work experience
- Excellent Leadership/ team management skills
- Successful track record as a people leader
- Strong administrative and analytical problem-solving skills
- Continuous improvement attitude
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills (Dutch and English)
- Experience in project management
- Experience in warehouse environment
You will work in two shifts.
