About this role:

As a Supply Chain Analyst I, you will be part of our dynamic and fast-paced supply chain and logistics team. This role focuses on optimizing BSC’s logistics and transportation aspects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the freight and logistics operations

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Data Analysis: Analyzing large sets of data related to shipment and delivery times, costs, and inventory levels to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
• Process Improvement: Recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance Traffic and Freight team efficiency and reduce costs
• Vendor Management: Evaluating vendor operations, such as freight forwarders, to ensure they meet quality standards and negotiating contracts to ensure reliability
• Collaboration: Working closely with other departments like sales, production, and customer service to ensure smooth operations and address any Traffic/Freight issues
• Performance Tracking: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on the supply chain’s performance to internal stakeholders
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks within the Traffic/Freight teams to ensure continuous and efficient operations
• Process Evaluation: Regularly reviewing and analyzing current Freight/Traffic processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
• Implementation of Best Practices: Researching and applying industry best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.

Experience:

• Internships or Part-Time Roles: Experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management through internships or part-time roles is highly valuable
• Entry-Level Positions: Roles such as Logistics Coordinator, Operations Analyst, or similar positions in the supply chain industry
• Analytical Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in an analytical role within a supply chain environment
• Relevant Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, familiarity with supply chain software, and strong problem-solving abilities

Position will start with a defined term contract expected 12-18 months.
Workmode hybrid at our European Distribution Center Kerkrade-The Netherlands.
