Boston Scientific is growing, and we are looking for a new member to join our Demand Planning team in Kerkrade, the Netherlands. You will become part of a diverse team of 27 professionals who collaborate across regions and functions.
In this role, you will coordinate and manage EMEA demand planning and new product launch regional forecasting activities to ensure customer needs, business requirements and service-level objectives are met. You will also support, monitor and maintain finished goods inventory levels while ensuring system integrity.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and lead demand plan review meetings within the SI&OP process, enabling 24-month rolling forecasts.
- Support regional integration, reconciliation and executive SI&OP reviews.
- Partner with and engage business stakeholders to determine product portfolio strategy and translate decisions into effective inventory strategies that support agreed service targets.
- Perform inventory management activities to meet service and financial objectives, including safety stock target setting, inventory analysis, potential stock-out mitigation, inventory projection, and excess and obsolescence management.
- Manage KPI performance, including inventory, forecast accuracy and bias, service level, back order and scrap; perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions.
- Coordinate new product launches and product transitions, balancing customer expectations with financial objectives.
- Manage product discontinuations to ensure optimal product availability with minimal write-off costs.
- Identify and manage value improvement projects in collaboration with supply chain functions, Finance and divisional partners.
- Support annual and quarterly Finance budget processes, including inventory, scrap and shipment volume planning.
- Deliver monthly KPI reporting and ad hoc performance and product availability communications to business and corporate functions.
- Manage ERP and APS master data and monitor overall system integrity.
- Interact closely with divisional Marketing, business unit management, Finance and global and regional supply chain functions.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience within a supply chain or demand planning environment
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong analytical and systems skills
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset
- Fluency in English
- Ability to execute independently and manage priorities effectively
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a multinational or matrixed organization.
- Experience with ERP and advanced planning systems.
