About the role:
As a Local IT you are responsible for providing 1st line/ 2nd line IT support for the distribution center in Kerkrade and regular users in the Netherlands in general. This includes supporting the office and its users, as well as our remote sales team and home workers with any IT troubles they may encounter. The role is extremely varied and is key to keeping the distribution center running at all times. The ideal candidate will have a strong and varied technical background, allowing them to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical users effectively. You will need to possess good written and face to face communication skills and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global IT support teams.
The job also includes being on call for support outside regular business hours.
Day-to-day tasks can include:
- Troubleshoot any IT issues related to the warehouse and ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse in all circumstances.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues for onsite & remote users.
- Setting up new hire equipment and providing user training.
- Supporting and troubleshooting video conferencing systems onsite.
- Initiating and implementing regular hardware refresh projects.
- Maintaining & supporting all IT equipment – desk setups, printers, access points etc.
What are we looking for in you:
- Bachelors degree in IT, big data or equivalent - preferable but not essential.
- 4+ years work experience supporting a production environment, end users in a corporate and remote environment.
- Proactive, creative problem-solving mindset, result oriented and a true team player.
- Customer focused and working off own initiative.
- Availability to travel abroad on occasion.
- Excellent Windows 10 & 11 knowledge.
- Excellent Office 365 knowledge in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Apple hardware, setup and support.
- Superb communication skills (training, presentations, learning).
- Excellent problem resolution and analytical skills.
- Able to follow stringent corporate processes, procedures and policies.
- Extensive experience in remote support & troubleshooting.
- Experience in supporting the use of AV-technology such as Zoom, Webex, Teams, etc.
- Good Project Management and Time Management skills.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN technology knowledge.
- Ability to adapt to new technology quickly.
