PURPOSE
The Commercial Excellence (ComEx) Lead is a key member of the APAC Growth Markets commercial excellence team. The role is responsible for driving end-to-end commercial excellence in Singapore and Malaysia countries and scaling up across growth markets by enabling data-driven decision making, strengthening sales performance management, and ensuring effective in-country adoption of commercial strategy, pricing, and Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) programs.
The role acts as the primary Commercial Excellence Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for country leadership teams, partnering closely with growth markets and APAC and functional stakeholders to accelerate sustainable growth, improve execution discipline, and enhance commercial productivity across growth markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Commercial Excellence & Performance Enablement
- Lead Commercial Excellence agenda across Singapore, Malaysia, and best practice scaleup across growth markets in alignment with growth markets and APAC ComEx strategy.
- Partner with country leadership teams to translate regional commercial strategy into actionable in-country execution plans.
- Act as trusted advisor to Country Managers and Leadership Teams on sales productivity, execution rigor, and performance improvement levers.
2. Data, Analytics & Business Performance Reviews
- Support and drive data & analytics enablement, including territory action planning, sales execution tracking, and performance diagnostics.
- Own and continuously improve Territory Action / Execution frameworks, ensuring clear linkage between strategy, targets, and frontline execution.
- Lead preparation and facilitation of Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with country Leadership Teams, providing insights, root-cause analysis, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop standardized dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards to track sales, key accounts, product, pricing, and market performance.
- Identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities; work with country teams to drive corrective actions and follow-through.
3. Sales Performance Management & CRM Enablement
- Lead sales performance management across SEA through centralized CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce and related platforms).
- Drive consistent adoption of CRM, forecasting, pipeline management, and activity management standards across countries.
- Partner with regional teams to drive process harmonization, tool standardization, and best-practice sharing.
- Improve commercial efficiency by driving system integrations and automation through commercial IT and vendors, reducing manual effort and increasing data reliability.
- Act as business owner for CRM-related enhancements, defining requirements, prioritizing use cases, and supporting deployment and change management.
4. Commercial Strategy, Pricing & SFE Program Deployment
- Drive in-country adoption of commercial strategy, including go-to-market models, segmentation, targeting, and coverage optimization.
- Serve as Country Business SPOC and deployment partner for pricing frameworks, discount governance, and value-based pricing initiatives.
- Lead deployment and sustainment of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) programs, including incentive design, quota setting, call planning, and performance coaching tools.
- Ensure alignment between pricing, incentives, and commercial behaviors to support profitable and sustainable growth.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on performance outcomes and market dynamics.
5. Stakeholder Management & Change Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Country Commercial, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Customer Care teams to ensure seamless execution of ComEx initiatives.
- Partner with APAC and Global ComEx teams to localize global programs while preserving strategic intent and governance.
- Lead change management efforts, including communication, training, and capability building, to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
- Act as a mentor and coach to local ComEx / Sales Operations resources, building sustainable in-country capability.
6. Governance, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all commercial processes comply with company policies, pricing governance, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong alignment with Quality System requirements, demonstrating commitment to patient safety, product quality, and ethical business practices.
- Promote a work environment that supports Quality, EHS, and Energy policies as relevant to the role.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of relevant experiences and proven results in commercial excellence with a focus on end-to-end delivery in SFE and operational areas. 5+ years with masters.
- Strong business acumen, business and commercial experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or a related field. Multi country experience is a plus.
- Sound application skills (PPT, Excel, Word, Project)
- Experience in BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, SQL) to derive insights from a complex raw data is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in both verbal and written English at all levels
